May 2, 2016--Transfers minggu ini (this week)

Hello beautifullest mother in the whole world,

Thanks for the email. Elder Nonne is great. He is 10 months in the mission and he is from Jakarta. He is a hard worker and really funny :) We have enjoyed our first week together.

We can skype next week on Monday for me (which is Sunday night for you right?). The Jeffery's have offered their computers for us to use to skype. We'll probably call you around 8-9am Magelang time. (I am assuming that's around 7-8 Idaho time but you might want to google it). I am excited to see all of you over skype next week as well.

Today was a really fun P-day, we got out and hiked Mount Merbabu. We got all the way to the top, it was a lot of fun and one of the prettiest places ever. Elder and Sister Jeffery were nice enough to drive us out there, and they even hiked with us. The peak is at an approximate elevation of 3100 meters above sea level. (10,170 ft)

Some highlights from this week:

We did some service for an investigator, Ibu L. It was her son's birthday this week, so we helped her set up for the event. On Thursday, the day before, we went to the place and blew up balloons. I guess she had asked a lot of people to help but only me and Elder Nonne showed up, so we spent around 3 hours just blowing up balloons. My mouth hurt but now I am a balloon-blowing-upping professional. Maybe it could be a handy skill to put on my resume. The next day was the actual party and we also helped set up for that. It was the craziest largest birthday I have ever been to, all for her 5-year old son. There were some 100-150 children in attendance. Woww... insanity. There was a dj and a clown and lots of other stuff. We really enjoyed ourselves and we were able to get a few people's numbers who are interested to meet later. Her son M is the cutest little guy ever!!

One miracle we had was that our investigator from Februari, Ibu E and two of her kids were able to come to church this week. They loved it! Afterwards they texted us and asked if they could come again next week. That was such a miracle :) We have been teaching them for a really long time, and just recently we had an idea that we needed to teach Ibu E's kids. So we started directing our lessons towards her children. We would play games and draw pictures and have everyone share scripture stories and read from the picture-book stories of the book of mormon. Ibu E would follow along too and she has loved it. Teaching her kids has helped her far more than teaching her ever did. I am gaining a stronger testimony of the importance of families and focusing on families in our missionary work.

I am so grateful for you mom and your example in our family. We have the greatest family ever :) I can't wait to skype with you next Monday.

Love you forever and ever!!
